Backstage With Lions

Saturday, August 9

3 p.m.

When you go backstage with us, you become a partner in the Zoo’s work to protect and conserve wildlife. Strictly limited to 6 people.  Guests must be 12 years old or older to attend. Children younger than 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Enter the Lions' den to see how the keepers manage the lions, bring them in at night, feed them and train them to participate in their own care.  A wondrous glimpse into some of the most challenging work zookeepers undertake.

Members attend for a donation of $100 - Non-members attend for a donation of $110.  All or nearly all of the cost is tax-deductible as a donation to the NC Zoo Society, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Funds are used to support the Zoo's field conservation programs.
