Join Senior Veterinarian Dr. Ryan DeVoe while he makes rounds inside the Zoo to visit and treat his patients. Every tour is different and every tour takes you behind the scenes to see how the Zoo's veterinary staff helps ensure the health and well being of the big, the bold and the beautiful animals at the Zoo.

The tour begins at 8:45 a.m. and ends between noon and 1 p.m. After that, tour goers sit down to a picnic lunch with Dr. DeVoe and some of the veterinary staff and then, if they elect to do so, can spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying a golf cart tour of the Park.

Shadow a Veterinarian For Two  $500. 

The estimated value of the event is $35.50. All or part of the remaining cost is tax deductible as a donation to the NC Zoo Society, the 501(c)3 non-profit organization that raises money for the NC Zoo. Proceeds from the Shadow a Veterinarian Program support the Zoo's conservation medicine programs, which deal with medical issues affecting rare, endangered and threatened species.
