Support the Zoo's partnership with Tooro Botanical Garden -- a collaborative that is helping local people learn to appreciate and sustainably harvest local plants. Among other things, the Garden offers a medicinal demonstration garden that displays 30 species of plants that have healing properties. These plants can help the local people, most of whom have little access to health care. The Garden is developing an arboretum with rare plants from the Albertine Rift and hopes to add an Education and Workshop Center to the grounds.
